FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Opera Today! presents "A House Divided" - a thought-provoking new opera by Philip Seward exploring the challenges of keeping love alive as politics become increasingly divisive.
This One Act chamber opera (51 minutes duration) tells the story of Tom (Seth Allen, tenor) and Amanda (McKenzie Hare, soprano): a couple struggling to salvage their marriage despite their opposing political views. Set against the backdrop of our currently divided nation, this powerful story delves into the complexities of relationships in today's polarized society.
Director Debra Lynn describes "A House Divided" as “a story that will resonate with audiences regardless of their political leanings. There are no ‘bad guys;’ only two good and patriotic people who have different ideas about what is best for our nation. The intent is to encourage folks to register and vote, not to dictate how they should vote."
You are sure to be moved by the soaring vocals and emotional depth of this gripping production. Further information can be found at www.opera-today.com
